            As the years pass by and generations move on, we tend to lose sight of why we do the things we do.  The Robert Beccaris Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1975 following the Line of Duty Death of Rollinsford Firefighter Robert Beccaris.

Robert Beccaris was killed in the line of duty December 18, 1974 while battling a multi-alarm fire at the Prime Tanning facility in Berwick, Maine.  Firefighter Beccaris was the first and only firefighter fatality in the history of the Rollinsford Fire Department.

            The scholarship was established for those Rollinsford students seeking to further their education, no matter the field of study.  The scholarship fund is made possible from donations by any and all persons, and is dependant upon continuing support from generous individuals and groups. 

How you can help

• By making a tax deductible donation in any amount to the Robert Beccaris Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o the Rollinsford Firemen’s Association.
• Spreading the word to your friends, family and co-workers about this cause and encourage them to donate as well.

The Rollinsford Volunteer Firefighters Association is pleased to announce the 2010 recipients of a $500.00 scholarship in honor of fallen firefighter Robert Beccaris.
