The walking club is still in it's infancy, so changes may be made. For more information, contact Peter @ 742-5249
The club starts it's first walk on October 28, 2009.
Fire Education for Parents/Adults
Every year the Rollinsford Fire Department educates the local youth on how to be "fire safe". We teach according to age and attention span and hope that the messages reach home. After spending the day with the kids and staff at RGS, we thought it would be a good idea to create an educational seminar for the "grown-ups" of our community.
Over the course of this winter we will be working on this in anticipation of a fire safety day for adults in the spring. Depending on the kind of response we get, it may turn into something that is offered several times. We will present a more extensive overview of what and why we teach the children. There will be a hands on fire extinguisher class offered, and we will also discuss how to recognize potential juvenile firesetters.
This will be available to any and all adults, with or without children.
While a date has yet to be determined, we encourage you to contact us with any feedback, or to let us know if this is something you'd be interested in attending.
